What If You’re Not Seeing the Whole Picture?

What if there is more happening in your life than you can see?

When life feels overwhelming, it’s easy to focus on the problems in front of us and forget the power of the God who is with us. But what if our circumstances aren’t telling us the whole story?

In 2 Kings 6, Elisha’s servant wakes up surrounded by an enemy army. While the servant sees an impossible situation, Elisha sees something completely different: the power and presence of God.

In week one of our new series, New Perspective, we explore how seeing life from God’s perspective can change the way we respond to fear, uncertainty, and impossible circumstances.

Our problems are real, but they aren’t the whole picture. When we begin to see God in the midst of our circumstances, an entirely new set of possibilities opens up.

In this message, we’ll explore:

  • Why we’re often quick to see our problems and slow to see God’s power.
  • What Elisha’s story teaches us about unseen realities.
  • How God’s truth can reshape our perspective.
  • Why seeing things differently can change how we treat others.
  • How to trust God’s power even when we can’t see what He’s doing.

Scripture: 2 Kings 6:11–23 | John 8:31–32 | 2 Corinthians 4:16–18

A question to consider: What situation in your life feels overwhelming right now? What might change if you began to see that situation with God in the picture?
