Have you ever known people who are joyful? They have a hope for life that’s unshakable, regardless of circumstances. They stand out to us because they refuse to give up on things that really matter.

11/19/17 – Homeland – The Opportunity Of Hospitality

Where is home for you? Is it the place where you lay your head at night? Is it where you’re most relaxed? Maybe it’s when you’re with certain people? Is it somewhere you long for or a place you wish you could return to?

Moving, displacement and immigration are terms we use to describe people leaving a familiar place and trying to call a strange, new place “home.” Differences in food, schools, language, and relationships provide us with new, everyday life challenges as our environment changes.

People immigrating to new areas is nothing new to human history. It makes culture dynamic and the world around us ever changing. We are going to take 3 Sundays to explore what this means to our lives, the church, the gospel, and our growing global community.

10/22/17 – Risk. Reach. Repeat.

As a church it can be very easy to slip into the habit of only concerning ourselves with the routine of life. We go to work. We go home. We gather together. We eat. We sleep. We do it all again the next week. While this cadence encompasses many aspects of discipleship life, it can have a lulling affect toward Jesus’ command to be outward focused.

WHO IS GOD AND WHAT IS HE LIKE?

Is God angry and aggressive, interested only in punishing people? Or is he a genie who will do what you want if you believe in him enough? How does God view you and what does he want you to do?

Put aside your preconceived ideas about God and listen to Jesus’ own words as you explore what’s in the mind and heart of God.
